2026 Ski World Cup: A Weekend of Italian Triumphs
From 6 to 8 March 2026, La VolatA at Passo San Pellegrino hosted three Women's Alpine Ski World Cup races, making it a memorable weekend for Val di Fassa. Two downhill races and a super-G, three Italian victories and races decided by hundredths of a second.
Laura Pirovano claimed the first two victories of her World Cup career, winning both downhill races by just one hundredth of a second. Her back-to-back wins also earned her the red leader's bib in the downhill standings.
On Sunday 8 March, Elena Curtoni completed the Italian hat-trick with her return to winning ways in the super-G. Asja Zenere, starting with bib number 33, finished third to claim her first World Cup podium.
Three days that left their mark on the sporting history of Val di Fassa and Italian skiing.
