How to reach Passo San Pellegrino

At Passo San Pellegrino, in the ski area of the same name just 13 km from Moena, the fate of the Women's Alpine Ski World Cup will be decided. On Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March, the La VolatA slope will host a downhill and a super-G race: two decisive events in the final stretch of the season.

The parterre and grandstands are located at the base of the Col Margherita cable car, the main access point to the slope and the vibrant heart of the weekend’s competitions.

During the two race days, traffic may be restricted and most parking areas will be reserved for the organisation. We therefore recommend using the official transport services - the easiest and most sustainable way to reach the parterre area and enjoy the World Cup without any worries.

Can I reach the competition area on skis?

Yes. During competition days, the San Pellegrino Ski Area operates as usual, with the exception of the La VolatA slope. It is therefore possible to reach the competition area on skis, using the lifts and slopes open to the public.

How to reach the area on skis

From Passo San Pellegrino to the parterre:

  • Del Passo blue slope (return via the Del Passo chairlift)

From Col Margherita (race start area):

  • Col Margherita - Lago Cavia red slope to the junction with La VolatA
  • Col Margherita red slope from the junction with La VolatA

From the parterre, it is permitted to walk a short distance along the edge of the slope, exclusively to watch the final metres of the race.

For safety reasons, some slopes and connections may be temporarily closed or regulated. Please follow the on-site signage and check for any updates on this page and on our social media channels.

During the two competition days, Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 March, there may be temporary traffic restrictions on both the Trentino and Veneto sides of the Passo San Pellegrino. Any updates and traffic information will be published on this page.

Parking availability in the area will be limited. We therefore recommend using the official shuttle and ski bus services, the most convenient and sustainable way to reach the race venue and enjoy the event stress-free.

Free parking areas at Passo San Pellegrino (near):

  • Capanna Margherita ski lift
  • Costabella chairlift
  • opposite Hotel Monzoni
  • Gigante chairlift

The car parks are intended for parking only and not for camping. We therefore kindly ask you, out of respect for everyone and for safety reasons, to avoid setting up any outdoor equipment (tables, chairs, tents, etc.).

If you require specific services (waste disposal, water refill, electricity, etc.), the nearest equipped camper stopover area is Forno, Il Giardino, along the SS48 between Moena and Predazzo. From there, you can reach Passo San Pellegrino by ski bus or shuttle service.
